Youtube Vanced is an Android app designed for users of modded apps. It was originally created by Master_T, a senior contributor to the XDA-Developers Forums, and was known as iYTBP - injected YouTube Background Playback. The concept of the app was based on the YouTube Background Playback Xposed module, which Master_T took the features of and integrated into the original YouTube APK. The reason for creating the iYTBP - injected YouTube Background Playback was due to the lack of availability of the Xposed module at the time.
